1st State Cavier Diablo Diablo Bejarano R

This admirably consistent and prolific six-year-old has continued to cross over between overnights and stakes for most of his career and today put away another good field for his twelfth lifetime win and his third at stakes level. This was by far his best success and considering his owner picked him up for $1.000 from Smokey Stover, this has been a big win for both horse and owner. Could we now, after 31 starts see this gelding stay at this level and maybe take another step up or will it be back to lower levels to add to his impressive tally?

2nd Manticore High Voltage Van Dyke D

Went to the lead and set a fast pace using that wide gate speed push to set up a clear lead. He kept on admirably well considering the pace he ran and crossed the line in second making it a one-two for the six-year-olds.

3rd= Green Flag Spankys Barn Berrios Hector

Tracked the leaders but could not find a turn of foot to really get into the finish and ended up in yet another stakes dead heat for third. The five-year-old is a little frustrating at times, but this was a fair effort.

3rd= Extravagant Bigchief Stables Lopez P

The three-year-olds are certainly getting more competitive but after stalking the lead this one was just a little weak at the finish. This was a good effort though and in only his seventh start he certainly has lots of room for improvement.
