State Of Fury Marches on to the BC

Pharoah Stakes – Grade I [BC] [KYD]
SA Race #4 1 1/16m Dirt Stake
Purse $300.000 For Two Year Olds.

1st State Of Fury Alydar Stables Hernandez J J

This son of Fire N Fury showed he could come off a strong pace and finish strongly from a wide draw in his maiden win and did almost exactly the same today off pretty much the same pace. It just goes to show how comparable some of these high level maidens are to stakes races as the runner up in that race ran pretty well here too. Marching on to the big dance now the trainer will be thrilled with their home bred who not only picks up a BC place but some TC points as well.

2nd Night Raider Mb Stables Eikleberry R

Ran a tough race from the draw but seemed determined to get into the stalk regardless of any cost to his finishing effort. He kept on really well and though it is hard to see him improving enough in the next month to beat the winner we all know that a different draw makes things very different and if this one can stalk from an inside draw on BC day he could avenge this defeat. By Tactical the trainer will be hoping for one place better in the BC as i know how much he holds Tactical in high regard.

3rd Red Summer Devil Mb Stables Lopez P

Got a bit of Spinny Legs at the start and had to run home from a long way back. On the cusp of a BC place i think it will be a shame if he misses out as this was a definite black booker in todays race.

4th King Noah Arindel Carrasco V R

Got a bit lost in transit here but finished pretty well to be fourth, one of those in the hat for a place in the BC if he can get a draw in a big race like he did in his first two races he may be able to stay closer early on and that seems key not only to his success but many just like him.
