NY Stallion Series – Great White Way
7 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $500.000 Open 2 Year Olds Foaled In NY.
1st Strike D J C Racing Stables Rodriguez Jam
As I mentioned in another report about another track that was off but only in the virtual world, AQU was struck too by an imaginary virtual rainstorm. In the end though the odds tell a different story, which let’s face it is another anomaly in our virtual world, the result was always going to be very open. I think despite the mud this was a deserving winner and one that certainly has a bright future not only because of the game manner of his win but the trip he got from the wide gate.
The pace was pretty hot for an off track and rather than go to the lead the jockey pulled him back to track the pace which surely had to cause the front runners to weaken late. The tactics proved perfect as he hit the lead inside the final furlong and battled home by a neck. This was only his third start, and he has now won two for $348.000 so the trainer can look forward to an exciting 2026 with him.
2nd Wealthy B Wonka Mb Stables Lopez P
Used the rail to stalk the fast pace on the off track and looked the winner for a while before the winner out gunned him inside the final furlong. Another having just his third start he too looks to have a bright future.
3rd Political Star Big Guns Stables Ortiz I Jr
The wide gate speed push was not taken by the horse outside him, so this one was pushed to the lead but had to go pretty hard in the first quarter to cross them. He stayed in the fight right to the end which is to his credit.
4th Mitchell Royalty Stables Curtis B
The first four were pretty much the first four throughout and each of them looked like they might win coming into the final furlong. In the end though he didn’t fight quite as hard as the first two and missed out on third by a whisker.
