SUN… more like Mars, but what ever. We have Sunday stakes action with TC ramifications as well look at the full field for the SUN Derby (GIII), a mile and a sixteenth test for the TC hopefuls. Let’s go to the outside post and put Backroad Bounty on top today… when last seen, he won over this track taking the Allison Derby, and we all know when this barn has a good one, they can make a lot of noise. That was two in a row, so it looks like they have him on his toes and that could be bad news for the rest of ’em. I think Fire Chase is another that deserves a big look today. the Factious barn has been on fire, this one has won four in a row and I don’t think you get double-digit odds today… people may finally realize, this one can flat out run. I like the undefeated Gunga Jung a little bit… he looked good winning (DH) the CAC Derby at SA, and this looks like a good spot for him.
