7 SAR NY Stallion Series – Liberty
$100.000 3yo F Foaled In NY 1 1/16m InTurf 122 +penalties
Don’t ignore her, indeed! Sent off as the rank outsider at 43/1, Team 7 Illusions’ Win Silly did just that… she won the NY Stallion Series – Liberty. Closing relentlsly down the lane, she caught Dime Piece at the wire and won by a neck in a final time of 1:40.30. Dime Piece looked to have it in hand inside the furlong pole but had to settle for the place with odds-on Luxury Class third.
The field of six got away from the gate on the firm SAR inner turf course with Apache Snow on the early gas, Dime Piece giving chase from the far outside, Luxury Class from the rail, Win Silly was next, then Floral and Must Be Joking away slowest of all.
They made their way around the clubhouse turn and moved onto the backside, Apache Snow showing the way by two lengths. Dime Piece tracking that one, then a gap of two back to Win Silly, Luxury Class on the inside of that one, Floral three wide, the three back to Must Be Joking, the trailer.
Moving down the backside and nearing the far turn, Apache Snow still showing the way by a length and a half. Dime Piece wasn’t letting her get too far away, gap of two back to Win Willy, Luxury Class still skimming the rail, Floral continuing widest of all ad three more back to Must Be Joking, eight lengths covered the field.
Around the far turn and into the lane, the race to the finish was on and we had a horse race on our hands. Dime Piece up three wide to look Apache Snow in the eye. Win Silly a length and a half behind that pair and trying to push up between those two, Luxury Class coming off of the rail and trying to find more as Floral fanned out for the drive, Must Be Joking continuing to bring up the back.
Deep stretch and to the finish, Dime Piece by a neck, long-shot Win Silly now joining them trying to pull the upset, Luxury Class trying to split foes as the trailing pair were out of this one… the battle to the finish was on and as they hit the wire Win Silly made one last push and took the win by a neck. Dime Piece was a game second with post time favorite Luxury Class third. Apache Snow was fourth, then Must Be Joking in fifth and Floral closed this one out.
Win Silly is a 3yo bay filly by Day Of Destiny – Winsili, by Chai Latte, and she was bred in NY by her owner, Team 7 Illusions. This was her second win from seven lifetime starts and she now shows $155.920 in earnings.

Win Silly raced mid-pack in the two path, continued to push forward into the lane, nailed the leader inside the final 150-yards, won driving. Dime Piece tracked the pace setter, up to take the lead at the furlong marker, caught on the wire. Luxury Class had a ground saving trip, between horses while gaining late, settled. Apache Snow broke alertly, set the pace to the furlong marker, headed, tired. Must Be Joking was never involved. Floral was no factor.
