BEL Race 2 6F – Dirt

Two Year Olds Fillies NY Breds
Field of nine two year old New York bred fillies here to go to action in the Key Cents at six furlongs over the dirt. Pretty nice sized field of runners so let’s take a look at them all.
1. Walk Me Home (5-1-1-1 $67.200), trained by Alydar Stables
First up in the field here and she is broke her maiden two races back in a statebred maiden race over the grass. Fourth in a statebred stakes race last time but I do think she could just be better on the grass.
2. Close Encounter (5-1-0-2 $53.560), trained by Angelos Stable
Next up here a filly who was claimed for only twenty dollars in her last start down at Calder. She was third that day and is now making a big jump to a stake. Looks a little bit overmatched in this one.
3. Red Rosey (4-1-1-1 $55.240), trained by Calia Stable
Next to this filly who will be making her first start ever on the dirt in her career. She has been strictly on the grass to this point and there is not much to go off for her. If she likes the dirt as much as the turf though she could have a shot.
4. Ashaso (5-2-2-1 $35.380), trained by D J C Racing Stables
Moving onto this filly here and she is coming into this race off of a second in a statebred stakes race at Finger Lakes. She ran good that day but she needs some more improvement off of that race. Could win if she runs a big race.
5. By Your Side (3-1-0-2 $44.160), trained by Smokey Stover
Another coming in from Finger Lakes here and she was third in her last start which was a stakes race. She ran good that day and was closing late for a good third. Could have a shot in here with some improvement.
6. Silver Cobra (7-1-1-1 $59.280), trained by Arindel
Most experienced in this field here and she was third ina stakes race at Woodbine in her last start. Open to statebred is always a good thing and this is probably not as tough as her last start. Definitely see her in the top four.
7. Undervalued (6-1-2-0 $67.000), trained by Mb Stables
Definitely one taking a steep drop in class here as she has been in graded stakes races her last three starts. Beaten soundly in the Frizette last time and this is at least an easier spot. Still going to have to run a good race to beat these.
8. Annie (5-2-1-0 $2.000), trained by Run Happy Racing
Once again another coming out of a stakes race at Finger Lakes and she was fourth in the same race as the number four in here. She usually is the leader early so I think she could be setting up the fractions most of the way.
9. Tell Your Story (3-3-0-0 $55.440), trained by Crocker Ggs
Only undefeated runner in the field here and she won that common race from Finger Lakes on the mud that day. She has done no wrong yet and even with this outside post she is my top pick to win.
Summary
Nice field of nine here and it is a pretty evenly matched race with no standouts for sure. My top choice is the undefeated filly here on the outside. Good luck to all in the field.
