Fast closing fourth in the Summer (GII) north of the border in him most recent. That was his first try on the grass as well, and he seemed to like the surface. He’s not showing any works since that start, and I’m not a big fan of farm-only works, but you have to think he has a shot in this one.
Nice win on the LAD grass last out when he broke maiden. This is certainly a jump up in class and I think the barn would be happy with even a small portion of this one. Solid bullet work at a mile over in PRX but I’m going to have to look at some others here today.
Perfect three for three after closing fast to take the Tyro at MTH in his most recent. Back to back one mile gallops for this one, getting ready to stretch out for the first time, and both of those were bullets. He’s probably the favorite here today… and I like him.
Broke maiden at first asking and they fire him right back v. black type, so you know the barn likes him. He’s been on a steady diet of one mile licks so he should be fit, especially on the quick come back. This is a tough group and I can’t see more than a minor placing.
Just missed in the Tyro to the three horse, when sent off at 25/1 odds. He broke maiden at seven panels so the distance may be more to his liking than that 5f sprint. I don’t think you get those kind of odds here today and this one might be setting up to run big.
Still a maiden and hasn’t been to the races since those back to back May runs in SoCal. This barn isn’t the type to just throw one in with no idea of running big, so something has their eye and the idea has to be that he’s this type of horse.
He hasn’t lost since receiving the unkindest of cuts back in July. All of his work has been over in Jersey and both of the wins were from off of the pace, plus he won at the distance. This looks like a logical place for him to go after black type and he will be bet.
Nice closing win last out in the OTJ Turf at DMR and they run him back on short rest again. This is his seventh start of his 2yo season, so they have no issues getting him in the gate. He beat some good ones in that last out effort so give him a look.
They switch him over to grass after that second place finish v. Opt horses at DMR in his most recent. He was closing late in that one and that seems to be his way… so the distance should help, but is he a grass horse?
Another that comes from that OTJ Turf at DMR and he ran big but still just couldn’t pass horses late in that one. He was the favorite that afternoon so a bit of a disappointing run, but he could bounce back here today, despite the outside post.
