When you win almost half of your 81 lifetime starts and a million dollars, back when that was real money… yeah, you deserve to have a race named after you.  So, we look at the field of ten set to go a mile and an eighth on the main DMR oval in the Native Diver Stakes (GIII).  I’m going to skip handicapping this one and leave it for The Card to handle…  they say that Mr Frost is the one to get past, and I like that win off of the private purchase… quick time at KEE, so the barn should be feeling good about this one.  He’s won a couple of nice races in his career, which you can tell by the near $500.000 in the bank, so he could be a great purchase.  The go right next door for each of the other two picks, taking Kapa Haggis as the second choice, that one taking a minor stakes at ALB last out, but he shows four thirds on the seasons, and some vs. nice horses… probably not my first or second choice, but… we are going with their picks.  On the other side, Bear Claws in their third choice and that one just missed after doing all of the heavy lifting in the Premires (GIII) at HST(GIII).  A first and a second since coming back to the main track from the lawn… I like it!
