6 SAR The Honorable Miss Hcp (GII)
$200.000 3yo&Up F&M 6f Dirt Hcp Weights
We head over to The Spa for some mid-week graded action and look at the field of ten set to sprint six panels in The Honorable Miss Hcp (GII), a main track stakes. I’m staying on the rail and the hot horse and will take Fearless Move as my top pick. She won the Bed O Roses (GII) at BEL last out, and I don’t think she’s just a wet-track specialist, although the forecast does hold the possibility of heavy rain. Either way, she just gives a glow of being the one to beat today. Let’s put Not A Big Deal in the second spot, because she is a big deal… nine lifetime wins and a bankroll over $1,000.000… yeah, she can get the job done vs. any group, and could be the one to head in this race, if you want to get your picture taken.
Here’s The Field –
Big run in the Bed O Roses (GII) to take the win on a wet BEL main track, and if you throw out the OP race, which I tell everyone, that oval is “different”, she’s been right there in a ton of races. Same here… look for her to run a big race and be right in the picture.
Hasn’t missed a check all year showing four wins and three thirds from seven starts, including small stakes at TUP and she been a handful. Four wins in a row, won last out taking down NY-bred types in the Dancing Renee… she’s good.
She’s still looking for her first win of the ’23 season but showed signs of life last out when third in the Winning Colors (GIII) so she may be coming back into the form that landed her four wins last season… her best would make her tough.
She’s got the speed, no doubt about that… Two wins and a second from five seasonal starts, but her two off the board efforts were both of her stakes starts… and both were NY-bred stakes. She’s going to need her best if she wants to take home the bacon.
Another that is still looking for her first win of the season, but the big barn has kept her sharp and she’s on the board in just about every start. She has been lightly raced this year, showing a second and a third (DH) vs. Alw types, so she is third race of the cycle and should be sharp.
Two wins and a second from her three ’23 starts, and she was tagged out of her last race for $80.000 and shows a couple of bullet works getting ready for this one. She’s won some big races and certainly deserves a look here, and she may be at a decent price.
She’s won two of her three seasonal races, but her off-the-board run was her only stakes start, in the Skipat at PIM on PRK Day. She wired a group of Alw types at FE last out, opening up to win by three, so she does look very sharp right now.
This one has changed hands twice in her last three races, one via Private Sale and once thru the Auction, and did win an Alw race at FG, before running fifth for the new barn in an OptAlw race at CD. Now it’s back to stakes company, and she did beat Fla-bred stakes horses, so…
Two wins and a second from her last three starts, so it’s up the ladder from a tag or Opt/Alw races. She’s been on the board in thirteen of eighteen starts, so she’s always there to pick up a check… can she take it to this level?
Only two seasonal starts, but she was second in a nice Alw race at SA, where she set the pace, and also set the pace in the Winning Colors (GIII) before tiring to be fourth. If they can get her to hold on late, she has the early lick to be in the run.
