The Alchemist stalked the pace and took the lead in the stretch win the Street Sense. Ghostzap jumped out to an early lead and pulled away by 2 lengths into the backstretch. The Alchemist tracked him in second, less than a length ahead of Grammands Commands and Los Pollos Hermanos.

As the field approached the turn, The Alchemist separated himself from the pack and set his sights on the leader, Ghostzap. Into the stretch, The Alchemist was still a length behind Ghostzap and Los Pollos Hermanos made a move to his outside. Garramands Commands held onto third with Man A Yard and War Of Backroads in the rear.

With a furlong to run, War Of Backroads kicked into gear and gained ground fast. The Alchemist shortened Ghostzap’s lead with Los Pollos Hermanos on his heels. Coming to the wire it was a three-horse race. In the end it was The Alchemist. War Of Backroads got up for second and Ghostzap held on for third.
