Whatever they do they should keep doing it because this one was claimed from no less than Mb Stables and less than a year later has been turned from a sprinter into a marathon running stakes winner. It just goes to show that sometimes even the best of us, even when the conformation screams six furlongs, can sometimes miss a diamond in the rough. This one let the leaders burn themselves out before closing nicely and running out a fairly comfortable one length winner. With the race schedule as it is he may have to go hunting for another long-distance race of the same caliber, but it is clear he has found his forte, at least for today.

Moved into a clear lead early on and it looked all over for a long time, however even though the pace was pretty even he started to puff a little at the mile mark and just could not last home in the end.

Stalked the leader but when it came time to race his stamina gave out and he just kept on tired and brave for third.

The only one with real form over this trip but for some reason the AI decided to put him so far out the back that he never had a real chance of making up that much ground. His early pace has always been a problem though so he may turn out to be a Grand National horse!!
