6 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $100.000 Open 3 Year Olds And Up Foaled In LA.
1st Shirakawago Night Rider Stables Bridgmohan S X
About the only time the races resemble real life races is when there is any moisture recorded at HRP. Suddenly we go from a neck covering a field to acres of lengths. Today there was the merest dribble of rain on the track but it was enough to turn these LA bred races from 4 way photo finishes to very clear placings. So this was the horse that handled the 4 rain drops that hit the course and to be fair i think he would’ve won whatever the weather, it would have just been a head if the track was dry. Claimed for just $16 this four year old was sent to dirt sprinting from a turf route and in true gaming style has gone from a has been back to the smart horse he looked earlier in the year. It was a great spot by one of the best claiming trainers in the game and may well go on with it now he has found his niche.
2nd Orange Star Allinthegate Beschizza A
When put on the pace he has failed to see his races through and that happened again here as he led at the furlong pole but faded under the drive. A consistent sort he just seems to lack that effort in a finish and i wonder whether losing two of his assets will help him in the future.
3rd American Life Luz International Lanerie C J
Led at a fast pace because that old wide gate speed push really doesn’t care how many horses are in a race. The inevitable happened and he faded away for a distant third.
4th Macedonian Moon La Rosa Stables Geroux F
I think we can say that this horse hated the off track. He was only beaten three lengths in The Lure so this eight length defeat really doesn’t reflect his ability. He may not be up to this but he is good enough for a future as long as the rain doesn’t follow him.
