Three Year Olds and Up Fillies and Mares

Only a field of five entrants here for the Dowager here at Keeneland this year. A mile and a half contest for the fillies and mares on the turf for grade three status. Let’s take a look at the field.

1. Miz Snakie Queen (16-3-3-2 $264.910), trained by Maxmillion Farm

First up in the field here is this filly and she is coming off of a terrible effort in the Delaware Handicap where she was beaten twelve lengths. Long on the grass is her thing though and she does have a stake win at the distance. Maybe she can round back into form.

2. Nike Talk (22-3-5-4 $211.750), trained by Czech Out Farms

Next up is this filly here who is going to run in this race again. She was fifth in the race last year and has not won a race in over a year. She’s out of form and I don’t really see her winning this one.

3. Brevia (13-3-1-4 $77.830), trained by Bombay Stables

Now to this filly who will be stretching out once again after two sprint races on the grass in a row. She did win at this distance and with the weak field she could upset this race.

4. Proud Audax (8-3-1-1 $77.400), trained by Tiratzo

Now to this filly here who will be going to farthest she has ever gone in her career when she runs this race. Her best race was at a mile and a quarter I think though. She could be alright in this race if she can go this far.

5. Built For Speed (21-6-2-3 $219.390), trained by First Flight Stable

Last one here and she is the horse to beat I believe. She did win a stakes race back in May at this distance. Her last race was a little dull but I think she will prevail just based on her class in this race.

Summary

Small field and not a whole lot to get excited for really with these five runners. The outside runner should he the one to beat I think if she runs big race. Good luck to all in the field.
