Purse $300.00 For Three Year Olds And Upward Foaled In NY
1 Flying Warrior, trained by Axeman
This gelded son of Iroquois Warrior had looked decent without being a world beater right up until the 20th September when he took the grade three ONT Derby. Consistent throughout his twelve race career that was his first black type win and with some very nice blood in his veins you have to think that may have been the first of many.
2 Moms Shot Clock, trained by Brave
This mud lover had been running pretty well up until mid summer but his last two starts have been very poor and you have to wonder about his enthusiasm going forward. A strong worker throughout the year I just cant get confident about him with those two poor efforts.
3 Yes Its True, trained by D J C Racing Stables
A consistent season has seen this four year old run well but remain winless in eight starts. Five pay checks in non graded stakes though is a good effort and his works are strong enough to suggest that he has a chance for a win at last.
4 Dojea, trained by Night Rider Stables
His only win this year came in an overnight but he did manage a good thirds in the Salvator Mile so you have to give him a bit of a chance to add to his tally in a fairly weak field. He had plenty of ability as a three year old and is working well enough to suggest his flamboyant trainer may be celebrating after this race.
5 Royal Mine, trained by Maxmillion Farm
Started off the season on a promising note running well in a couple of graded stakes but lost his way after that and was eventually gelded in June. Since then he has run two good races placing in high level overnights and he has been working well enough to suggest he can get involved today.
6 Peace Train, trained by Mb Stables
With no back type form this recently bought colt brings with it only his trainers reputation and a hope in a weakfish field. He has run well enough in overnights to suggest ability and Mb doesn’t fork out $65 for rubbish so you can guarantee a decent run for your money especially of he can produce the sort of times he ran in the closing stages of his win at LAD.
SUMMARY
This is a weak field for this purse and pretty much any of them has a chance. You have to like Flying Warrior with the best recent form and I would expect him to win from Peace Train and maybe Dojea.
