Purse $175.000 For Fillies Two Years Old.
This race tends to turn out better winners than the Bashford Manor but maybe that is down to the fact that fillies tend to last a bit longer than their early male counterparts.

1 Madam Madness Lindeman Prairie Beschizza A
We start with a filly that has won her only race, never a bad thing, but it is always hard to tell how those types will handle their second race. She was drawn favorably that day and again gets in a nice gate and whereas that wouldn’t have been the toughest maiden to win she did do it very nicely. Her works are solid enough and she has a decent shot at going well.
2 Ignore Tucker La Canada Racehorses Geroux F
A solid debut run saw this one go to a big ticket maiden at CD where she ran out an impressive winner from a decent gate. She once again gets a favorable draw and her works tell us she is in the zone to be a big chance in this race. The trip should be no problem and i can see her taking the stalk and coming on strongly down the stretch.
3 Securite Maximale Angelos Stable Landeros C
Took a couple of runs to sort herself out but then won a $40 maiden claimer last time with enough in hand to think she is better than that. She needs to improve but experience is pretty key in these early races and she is more experienced than most.
4 Gaga D J C Racing Stables Hernandez C J
This one powered away from her rivals last time and whilst that was only a maiden at TAM she couldn’t have been more impressive. Her works are strong and the stable in form so i would think she will be ready to be a contender in this race.
5 Apache Bow Mb Stables Talamo J
Took her debut maiden over two furlongs but was then disappointing in the Astoria> her works since that run have been very good so i would expect better but this stable can find a fast work out of almost anything so i put a little less weight on that than i do with some of the others. The trip is key here as she clearly has plenty of pace it is just a matter as to when she has to use it.
6 Double Dragon Fractious Rocco J S Jr
It will be tough for her coming from a debut win over a quarter mile but she has worked well enough since and being by Marry Me Mandy i would expect her to see out this six furlongs. Maybe this race will come a bit soon for her but she looks above average and should be thereabouts.
7 Berry Chai Allinthegate Hernandez B J Jr
This ones only race took part at lowly TUP where she dead heated for the win over four and a half furlongs. It is very difficult to read that form through to this race but it is clear the trainer thinks she is much better than that. The draw will make it tough for one as inexperienced as she may get squeezed out the back but she has plenty of pace so if she can use that to get a good position she should give a decent show.
8 Pop Rocks Maletto Rispoli U
Her three races at state bred level have been very good and she looks the type that will always giver her best. She will need to improve from this draw and this race see’s much better opposition than she has faced before but with three starts under her belt she wont lack anything in fitness and experience.
9 Five Shot N Roll Establo Pichon Leparoux J R
Another TUP maiden winner she was far more impressive than Berry Chai and has since worked strongly enough to be a contender here. Like i said earlier it is tough to line up a fair track maiden win with a stakes race but she is clearly better than that. The draw makes things complicated for her but if she ca get out of the gates and is close up after a quarter mile i wouldn’t be writing her off.
10 Spoken Fractious Gaffalione T
Came from a poor start to win her debut race at PRX and she looked like this six furlongs will only improve her chances. She may get back from this wide draw again so luck will have to play its part but of things go her way she should be a big hope.
11 Tokyo Story Smokey Stover Murrill M
After taking a big ticket maiden as CD she was sent to take on the boys in the Tremont and ran a cracker to be second after an awful start. She went from being seven lengths behind with a furlong and a half to run to be beaten just a neck in the end and that is outstanding form for a race like this. She looks a natural closer so the draw may not worry her it is just a matter of how far back the race engine makes her go. The race favorite for sure.
12 Celine D J C Racing Stables Corrales G
A gutsy maiden winner on debut from a wide draw she has been dealt no favors again today and will need plenty of fortune to be in at the finish. I really liked her 1.11 and 1 work which suggests to me she has come on a lot from that debut run and if things go her way she could be a surprise package from the car park.
SUMMARY
Despite her draw you have to like Tokyo Story in this race as she went into many black books after her flying finish in the Tremont. Outside of her there are more questions than answers but i rather like Ignore Tucker from a her perfect draw to be the biggest threat.
