1st The Grandmaster, trained by John Henry

Biggest win of this horses career and he produced on of the finest runs of his career on this day. He sat right off the leaders through some very fast fractions and poked his head in front about a sixteenth from the wire and pulled away to win by a quarter of a length. He ran the distance in 1:02.35 and earned $600.000 for the win.

2nd Salili, trained by Team 7 Illusions

A very gallant and brave runner up effort from this horse here as he tried to win this race wire to wire after setting some very fast fractions throughout. He ran as game of a race as he could and was only beaten a narrow quarter of a length. A very good runner up finish.

3rd Southern Fame, trained by Mb Stables

Big run from this horse also as he ran a great race to get up for third and he was only beaten a length to do in the end. He was right off the lead in the early stages about a length off of the pace and was down on the rail. He did run well and got up for a good third.

4th Red Cup, trained by John Henry

The only horse in the top four that was not within a length of the lead. He was near the back of the field early on about three lengths from the lead and he came with a good run down the lane and only got beaten by a length by his stablemate. Good fourth for this horse.

Summary

Not only did trainer John Henry win the race he was also fourth adding a little cherry on the top. The Grandmaster ran a huge race and just ran them off their feet really running a fast time in the end. Congratulations to The Grandmaster and John Henry on the win.
