  1. Summer Sampler                  Downwind Stables                                          Court J K

Recently ran in the Alexandra Stakes a Grade II event at FG in February where she came from off the pace to finish third by a length. Prior to that she ran in the Silverbulletday race at FG going 1 mile and 70 yards where she finished second after coming from off the pace. She will need her better form today to be competitive. Her SRF number is 92.

  1. You Gotta Believe                       Aarons Hosses                                                  Santana R Jr

Finished fourth at SA in the Grade II Las Virgenes after starting out 11th. Prior to that race she was racing on the sod where she had multiple wins. All her career wins, and most of her place and show finishes come from the sod, so I’m not exactly sure what the angle is here for this three year old. Maybe hoping to win and you’re in for the KYO? Her SRF number is 89.

  1. Aldonza                                 Heavens Own                                                    Vazquez R A

Was recently acquired through private sale for $375.00 and will make her debut for her new owner. She recently ran in the Grade II Las Virgenes at SA where she finished a decent second by a length. Prior to that you would have to look back to August to find her next win. She won the AP Washington $75.00 Non Graded Stakes going seven furlongs. She needs to bring her best like she did in her last race to be great here.  Her SRF number is 91.5.

  1. Laffin Alliance                                 Delta Farms                                                        Corbett G W

Finished a disappointing fourth place finish in the Alexandra Stakes Grade II event at the FG in February going today’s distance. Prior to that she bombed after showing early speed in the Silverbulletday $150.000 Non Graded Stakes race at FG. Has not done much since her Maiden victory at KEE at today’s distance. Her SRF Number is 88.

  1. Little Kruz                                     Brave                                                                    Canchari A

In her last race at GP in January she finished fourth by a length in the Forward Gal Stakes a Grade II event going 7 furlongs. Prior to that she showed a lot of early speed holding the lead for six furlongs in the Grade I Starlet at LA where she ended up finishing third by two lengths. Could improve nicely here, not to excited about a 0 for 6 jock being in the saddle. Her SRF number is 91.

  1. Seether                                                 Waldo                                                                   Landeros C

Recently raced at AQU where she finished fourth in the Busanda going a mile and 70 yards after having the lead for over 4 furlongs. Prior to that she won a $100.000 Non Graded Stakes Race called The Trapeze at RP. Still needs to show more to be competitive here, but I do expect her to make a run for the lead in today’s race Her SRF number is 92.

  1. Lisas Girl                               Aer Stables                                                         De La Cruz W

Was just claimed out of her last race at TAM where she ran third in a $25.000 Claimer for Non Winners of 3 races Lifetime, where she was claimed for $25.000. Today she will debut for her new connections. Prior to that race she ran third in the mud at GG. Her last win was in the Gimma Stakes for $150.000 against NY Breds where she won in the final leg of the race by a length. I think she has a lot to prove to this group of gals. Her SRF number is 85.

  1. Track Queen                                 Midnight Racing                                                Quinonez L S

Recently ran in the Grade II Las Virgenes at SA where she bombed finishing tenth. Prior to that she ran in the RP Springboard Mile for a purse of $250.00 where she ran nicely to be second. The only difference in these two races is at RP she had the rail, and at SA she had post position 11. Today she will be towards the outside, so this might be tough for this lil gal. HER SRF Number is 91.

  1. Notarized Kate                         Pristine Stables                                                 Nakatani C S

Didn’t show much at SA in the Grade II Las Virgenes where she finished sixth. Three back she ran second by a length in the Grade II Demoiselle. She also finished second in the BC Juvenile Filly Grade I. If she continues to perform like she did at the end of last season and in January she will have no problem against this group. HER SRF Number is 92.5.

  1. Cardinal Fire                                 Alydar Stables                                                   Cintron A

Did not fare well in her last outing at FG in the Alexandra Grade II Stakes race. She finished a disappointing eighth. Prior to that she ran in the Silverbulletday for a purse of $150.000 at FG where she finished third by a length. Prior to that she had two consecutive wins, one against Optional Claimers $25.000 Non Winners of 2 races, and an Open Allowance $56.000 Non Winners of 2 races Lifetime. She needs to bring her A game on Saturday. Her SRF number is 90.

  1. Regal Portrait                                  Mb Stables                                                         Rocco J S Jr

Finished second in the Martha Washington right here at OP in February by a nose. She will not have the same 3 post position, as she drew number 11. She can race from off the pace, but she tends to do better close to the pace. I think she will use a lot of energy coming out of the gate to get close to stalk the pace. She could struggle in this one. Her SRF number is 89.

  1. Sanny Senorita                                Luz International                                              Hill C

She was sold in a private sale for $200.000 from her breeder on February 17th and makes her debut for her new owner. She was the winner of the Martha Washington Stakes race that occurred right here last month. She did not draw post position 2 this time, and will be forced all the way out to post 12. She likes to stalk the pace, or be on the lead, which is going to be a huge challenge for this lil gal. Tough one here, but odds are stacked against her. Her SRF number is 89.

Iwin picks:                           9/5/12

The Tout picks:                  9/1/6

Until next time this is Iwin signing off!
