Purse $100.000
at TAM

1 Charles Martel Owner: Nakamura Stables Pedroza B
He broke his Maiden at AQU in November over a good surface, and won that day by ¾ of a length. Then just a little over a month he went on to race here at TAM in an Allowance Non Winners of 1 for a purse of $23.000 where he won by a half length. Facing previous horses that raced in Stakes races, but this is the right place for him. I like that he has been over this course before.
2 Urban Decline Owner: Alydar Stables Gallardo A A
He broke his Maiden after three attempts at CRC going five furlongs over the sod. He came from off the pace to make a move in the stretch with a furlong to go to get the ¾ length win. His next race was at six furlongs on the dirt course at TAM in the $100.00 Inaugural Stakes. In this race he came off the pace to get up to finish third. The added distance should assist him.
3 Hollywood Kimbo Owner: TwinTowersRacing Centeno D E
He broke his Maiden after four tries at DMR in September going six furlongs on the dirt course against California Breds in a Maiden Special Weight for a purse of $70.000. He went from last to first in that race. His most recent race was in October at BEL in the Grade II Futurity. He really was never a factor in this race where he finished eighth. He has had about 3 months off. The trainer is 10.1% win percentage in horses that have come off 61-180 days.
4 Diplomatic Prince Owner: Aer Stables SCRATCHED
5 Dogs Got Wings Owner: Downwind Stables Pennington F
He broke his Maiden at first asking at GG in April 2015. His last three races have all been stakes company. Three back he ran in the mile El Joven Stakes at RET on the sod where he finished third. His next outing would be at BEL at a mile on the turf course in the Awad. He would finish off the board in this one to be seventh. His next race came about six weeks later at TAM in the six furlong in the Inaugural where he won by a length. Having a win at this level over this course makes him a good bet for me.
6 Christmas Brit Owner: Lemax Farms Rodriguez E D
In November he ran in the six furlong The Kings Swan at AQU where he finished second by a half length. Prior to that he ran at GG in October in a six furlong race in an Allowance Non Winners of 1 race for a purse of $27.000 and finished second as well. His last race was in the Kings Swan at AQU going six furlongs on the dirt course where he finished second by a half length. A good option here, but I like others.
7 Shocking Pretense Owner: Barcelona Farms Boulanger G
Broke his Maiden at second asking at MTH going five and a half furlongs on the dirt course against Maidens. He would get his next win in his next start at DMR against Allowance company going five furlongs on the sod. His last win came in the Kip Deville in September at RP. His last race was in October at DMR going seven furlongs on the dirt course in the California Bred Golden State Juvenile for a purse of $200.000. Here he would finish fourth, not a bad effort. Coming off 2.5 months rest before this start. Could improve.
