A solid sort who may just lack the speed at the top grade she strikes a short field here and draws well so probably strikes her best chance of a win at this level. Having said that i have her in second or third today but expect an honest effort.

2 Sunset Over Tahiti Angelos Stable Lopez P

Claimed from the free track for $5 she did very well for her new stable winning two from three at much better level and was then claimed from a decent race at WO where she won easily. The new and current owner then took her to the Wasted Tears where the race engine shat itself and a terrible race ended up being made farcical. She ran from way back to be second but i think we can forget that one and i think this filly may just be one that from this draw could be a good bet at longer odds.

3 Red Flags Maxmillion Farm Cedillo A

Well its a turf route so why look at anything other than a runner from the Turf King. This filly was very good in the Dance Smartly last time running third on an off track after trying ti make the running. She looks to be on the improve and may be the biggest danger on paper to Directors Chair.

4 Villeneuve Mo Mentum Farm Centeno D E

Mainly known for sprinting she recently ran a couple of decent works with one over a mile so i wonder whether she is about to hit her improvement curve. A good winner at WO last time she isn’t without a chance in what will be a tactical affair.

5 Directors Chair Nakamura Stables Luzzi L J

Looks the one on paper but does come off worst in the draw handicap. She beat the boys in the Smarty Jones at the start of the year and managed fourth in the Withers before coming back to her own sex and running four goods placings culminating in a big run in the BEL Oaks. She looks nailed on for this as long as the race engine doesn’t beat her.

SUMMARY

This looks a great opportunity for Directors Chair to get a well deserved win against her own sex this year. Second may be where the real race is and it may be between Red Flags and Sunset Over Tahiti.
