1st Almighwar Night Rider Stables Gutierrez Mario

It is always nice when you summarize a preview and tip a horse not only to win but also exactly how it will win. As expected, the Night Rider trained five-year-old took advantage of the lack of speed in the race and went to the front pretty easily. Though he got there quickly enough he was still going some running a 22 and 1 opening quarter and that pace told a little inside the last furlong as he started to tire a little. He had enough to hold on by a half-length in the end and has now won his last three races and seems to be maturing into a very capable sprinter.

2nd Finding Nemo Black N Gold Stable Prat F

The other on-pacer in the race, he stalked the lead and was taking ground off the winner inside the final furlong but never looked like getting there. This was another consistent and tough effort by the six-year-old who will continue to be a force in this type of race going forward.

3rd Eternal Dispute Riggins Racing Smith M E

The first of the closers home, he made up plenty through the last furlong but as usual the AI struggled with timing, and he never looked like making up the ground in such a short space of ground.

4th Smiling Mike Maxmillion Farm Maldonado E

In a race where everything pretty much ran the way they were expected to run; this one took up a position in mid pack but just whacked away at the one pace in the end. The winner of just two but still fairly lightly raced, he does have time on his side to build strength but at this point in time at least this level may be a stretch.
