The Appleton – Grade III
1 Mile Inner Turf Stake Purse $100.000 Open 4 Year Olds And Up.
1st Time Warrior Paradise Stable Bravo J
Well the race engine may be different but there’s a couple of things that have remained the same. Firstly you can change a horse completely at the click of the instruction button and secondly the draw still makes a big difference.
The last time Time Warrior broke to the lead was in 2018 when he led for a few furlongs and then weakened out of contention, both times he was drawn wide. Since those days as a two year old he has been a closer, 17 races being ridden from behind for 5 wins. Plagued by wide draws he managed a grade three win last year but i always thought that with a bit of draw luck he could do it again. Today with a fitness run behind him, the ace draw and a forward instruction he went to the front and refused to let them past him. Winning by a head it was his mid race kick that saw him build a lead that was just big enough to see him home. Who knows what the future will bring but with a similar draw and similar tactics he will always be a contender at this level.

As we saw with the winner a racing style can be changed completely with an instruction and a draw. Previously an on pace runner today from the wide draw he was taken well back only to come with a huge late run that was only to fail by a few inches. It seems our new race engine can look at lot like the old one now it we have ironed out some of the glitches.
3rd = Kimura Mark88 Saez L
This was pretty much the best run i expected from this horse as he was coming off a long break and i still reckon he could turn out to be one of the best buys of the year. He may be starting to look for a little further now he is older but i fully expect this winner of over 1K in prize money to be racking up the wins again soon.
4th = Money Truck Spankys Barn Gaffalione T
With 4 lengths between the top ten, a dead heat and nothing getting stuck in the gate this race looked a lot like the old race engine. This four year old made all to win his last race but today fell into mid-pack and struggled to make up ground. He ran on well in the end to dead heat for third and he looks at-least as good as he did as a three year old which will please his owner.
