Not the best in the stable by a long way but this is a pretty light field for a stakes race and coming off the perfect draw i would expect this son of Moment O Madness to be in the mix. Like all the horses from the stable his works are strong but he has looked a shade one paced in his runs so far. A definite chance but not a shoe in by any means.
2 The King Of Now Night Rider Stables Rosario J
A regular on the state bred circuit he has placed three times at this level and recorded a peed figure of 99 last time out so certainly comes into the reckoning out of the favoured gate. His works are sharp and he won in 1.33 and 1 in April so will be right alongside at the end for sure.
3 Dunkin D J C Racing Stables Velazquez J R
Has raced like he would need further than the mile and confirmed that when winning nicely over the 12 furlongs last time. He could be the smokey here and is sure to be finishing late and strong.
4 Drumbeats Winning Link Stables Bejarano R
Not far off these for sure but he may need to find a little extra to get him home in front. He was a strong fourth in this grade last time so goes in the hopper i guess in a race that features very similar form.
5 Creme de La Latte Nakamura Stables Borel C H
Having his first run on the turf that is a formula that often works at HRP. His works say there is a smidgen to find by if the combination of the Nak Factor and the switch of surfaces hack works then he will be right in it at the end.
6 Jacks Full Arindel Davis D
His works are as good as anything else in the field but his form isnt as good. Having said that he won a mile claimer in 1.33 flat and ran resctably in the Winn last time out so if he can overcome the wide draw then he may be the dark horse.
SUMMARY
This is the story of 6 little clones all working pretty much the same and with snippets of form that would see them winning. With no standouts its often an idea to go with the least obvious choice so i am going for Jacks Full from wide making all the running and holding The King Of Now and the flying finish of Dunkin.
