1 1/2 Mile Turf Stake Purse $400.000 Open 3 Year Olds Foaled In Canada.
1st Hollywood Dump Night Rider Stables Wilson E J
I rather liked this outsider but not for real life reasons it was purely because he fit into the HRP mold for a race that wasn’t deep with talent. The last time this horse won on turf was a sprint claimer when the trainer claimed him for just under 40 bucks but i felt at the time he was more of a router and he proved that when moving to longer trips albeit on the dirt. Back to turf and over the maximum HRP trip he found a big purse and a short field to win a race that his trainer will be thrilled about. The outside gate tends to be more of an advantage in turf routes as many horses seem to go to the speed and keep going over these long trips on turf so there were plenty of things in his favor.
I think this horse has a decent future despite there being a few things in his favor today. He certainly owes his trainer nothing after this big win and i wouldn’t be surprised too see him pick up another decent purse before the end of the year.

It must’ve been hard for this trainer to chase home a horse he lost in a claim but this horse who stalked the leader all the way ran pretty well and i am sure they are not disappointed. He continues to perform below his work times but one feels that he is ready for a big win before the end of the year.
3rd Appreciate Mo Mentum Farm Gutierrez Mario
For some reason these long routes seem much harder to find a late run and this one who was steadied at the back made ground but could’nt mount a challenge on the first two.
4th Steed Maxmillion Farm Garcia Mar
The turf king mustered a much better run than i thought he would get from this one but after traveling close enough he couldn’t quicken when the whips came out. Not a bad effort and i feel he may be a better four year old than he is a three year old.
