Sometimes i think people play with a different set of instructions than our champion trainer Mb Stables. Only they could have a maiden use the wide gate speed push to set a fast pace on an off track and still not only hold second but guide the horse in the perfect stalk past for the win. It certainly seems a long time ago now that the stable was going through a lean spell by their standards and i think we can say that whatever was at play before things are very much back to normal. I thought this one, one of the few with stakes form in the race, would take some beating and sure enough the filly by Fire N Fury was just too game at the end taking a quarter length win.
When you look at some of the other stakes races this one was very winnable and Mb took full advantage of it with this tough filly.
2nd Align Mb Stables Rocco J S Jr
I am not sure many of us could have sent a horse with just one defeat under its belt out this fast on an off track from a wide draw and still got second, in fact the daughter of Tactical was so good she nearly held on for the win. Her works after that debut run were very good so this isn’t a big surprise but then her works were pretty much the same as everything and she was the one still there inside the final furlong. The trainer will be thrilled by this effort being by one of their favorite horses and out of a BC Champ she looks to have a huge future both on the track and eventually in the paddocks.
3rd Super Fam Team 7 Illusions Corrales G
Kept going right to the line but there is just no beating the Mb bandwagon at the moment and she had to settle for a very good third beaten under a length. The off track will have certainly thrown a good few off here but she coped pretty well and will be gunning for some big prizes in the future.
4th Be Exceptional TwinTowersRacing Lopez P
Got the outside push to go and sit behind the speed early and was really game after working so hard to hang on for fourth.
