This is certainly nothing to do with the horse or the trainer, but it has to be said that a horse beaten in an allowance at LS who then beats a double BC winner in a grade two makes this game very hard to read indeed. The class system may be completely nonexistent, but the writing was on the wall for this one as she had been working scintillating times and it was just a matter of when she was going to break through at this level. A consistent sort, she was a stakes winning three-year-old but hadn’t really kicked on from that until today. Now however she has the scalp of the champion staying mare on her belt and who knows, she may keep moving up and end up in the BC in November.

2nd Painville Mo Mentum Farm Geroux F

On speed she just couldn’t find the kick in the final furlong and got run down close home and whilst this was another tough effort her lack of a win this season is worrying as she prepares for the defense of her BC title.

3rd Beach Towel Winning Link Stables Corrales G

Beaten less than a length, this was a good effort but ends her winning run and she may have topped out again on her improvement curve.

4th Reorganize Czech Out Farms Davis D

Right on the speed but once again couldn’t find a turn of foot at the end.
