7 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $100.000 Filly 3 Year Olds.

1st      Paris Pinnacle Party      Mb Stables       Davis D

It will be an interesting division this year as the best of these fillies may be going to the KYD instead of the KYO leaving the KYO more open than in previous years. However between Mb Stables and Smokey Stover, i am guessing, have more tan 3 top three year old fillies so it may not make that much of a difference. This one has had unfortunate draws for three races in a row and has won two of them so that will hold her in good stead as she attempts to make the field for the KYO. Today she performed what we have been told by the top stables a miracle by going through two furlongs in last place and still winning. An anomaly or the sign of a great filly, well only time will tell but the fast early pace will probably have had a lot to do with it.

2nd     Lonely     Ace Racing Stable      Ortiz J L

This was a lovely effort from a horse that was being claimed for just $8.50 at the end of last year and she is quickly becoming a new stable favorite. Around mid-pack early on the fast pace will have hurt her more than the winner and whilst she quickened past others she could not hold the winner. This was a good effort by the improving filly and it will be interesting to see if she can progress further.

3rd      Cherokee Raid     Williams9      Ferrer J C

Set a very solid pace out of the gate and with the speed holding up far longer than it used to she was still in front with a furlong to go. The trainer picked her up in a $5 maiden claimer so this was a great claim and she has certainly proved a very shrewd spend. A daughter of Snakie she could be anything but with the speed she showed today there may be a good sprint purse in her future.

4th   Texas Holdem       D J C Racing Stables       Hernandez R M

A front runner last time and mid pack this time and that was all down to the fast early pace set by the front runner. She is a very consistent sort and was only a length behind on the line so she clearly has a bright future at this sort of level.
