There’s a Storm in The Glen Falls

The Glens Falls – Grade II
1 1/2 Mile Inner Turf Stake Purse $250.000 Filly & Mare 4 Year Olds And Up.

1st November Storm Mb Stables Franco M

It has been a while since this five-year-old has won two in a row but in one instance thanks to the prevailing ground conditions and in the other her class she came with her telling late surge to take her second stakes win of the year. It would have been easy to write her off after a couple of defeats in overnights at TAM and TUP but she proved she is not done yet with a strong effort today and who knows where this newfound confidence will take her.

2nd Nijinsky Team 7 Illusions Lezcano J

Another closer that took advantage of the conditions and the race engine’s difficulty in running a true wet ground pace, flying through at the end to push the winner really hard. Another five-year-old, it is amazing to think she has only won three races after an effort like this especially when you consider it has been 18 months since her last win, and she has been second in five of the ten efforts since then. There must be a win soon; keep her on your watch list.

3rd Superface Party Mb Stables Gutierrez Mario

Led them up as expected but went a little too hard for a 12-furlong races in the wet and was a tired filly at the end. She continues to threaten to come back to the form that saw her a grade one winner last year and maybe she just needs to get past this four-year-old season to get back to her old form.

4th Exulted Rene TwinTowersRacing Hernandez R M

She has become a little inconsistent as a four-year-old, but I think that can happen between 3 and 5 and maybe she is just going through the motions until her improvement curve starts rising again. A bit of a lack luster effort today.
