There’s a Super Party in Valdale Stakes

Valdale Stakes
6 1/2 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $125.000 Filly 3 Year Olds.

1st Super Party Team 7 Illusions Cedillo A

Well, the wet ground certainly was to her advantage here as she had already won in those conditions, so it was no surprise to see her running out a comfortable winner in the end over the same course that she won her maiden on last time. I think she may be better than just a wet tracker, but she certainly is good when it rains and picked them up from a midfield position and was running away at the end. This was only her fifth start so she will improve again and looks a good type going forward.

2nd Dupixent Night Rider Stables Moncada I

Stalked a fast pace on a wet track, she was always going to be vulnerable, and in the end she was. She was going well enough as they hit the stretch, but it seems to be race engine 101 that in these circumstances the last challenge wins and she was run down in the last furlong. This was another good effort from the lightly raced filly, and she looks sure to pick up a race like this sooner rather than later.

3rd Delilahs Den Simmer Down Stable Jimenez A

Raced in the trail but could not get through the wet ground to mount a challenge to the first two. She ran on well enough for third and with a record of cashing a check in every stakes race she has competed in it can only be a matter of time before she gets one.

4th The Sibyl Knows Aer Stables Talamo J

Used the wide gate speed push for an easy lead but the race engine sometimes has trouble with pace on an off track and she went far too fast to ever last home.
