HRP may not want to branch out to race all over the world, but it certainly doesn’t mind bringing in the jockeys. The Turkish champion rider having only his eighth HRP ride rode this one to perfection rather aptly beating a British Champion Jockey in Jamie Spencer. With several other foreign riders becoming popular choices we are left thinking that maybe that overseas AI may just be a little sharper than American AI.
This filly has certainly got a good case of an upward trend in her improvement curve and didn’t seem to mind the off-track in grinding out a half-length win from the stalk position. This is three in a row for the filly that has found a surface she loves and I am sure we will see much more of her.

It was no surprise that the Mb playbook saw this one lead as the trainer does love them up on the pace and the wide gate speed push meant she could get there pretty comfortably. I thought she would hold on as they hit the stretch, but the wet track turned her legs to jelly, and she folded close to home.

She has now acquitted herself well in wet and dry, on turf and dirt, and over trips from five and a half furlongs to nine something which would be celebrated in real life but is part of life here at HRP. Only a one-race winner, I think she will develop into a leading filly for the stable and in time I think we will see her winning races like this.

For some reason went much further back than normal and as usual the race engine slowed her closing speed enough to see her a never dangerous fourth. I thought she would be closer than this and maybe it was the off track that slowed her finishing kick but whatever it was today was not her day.
