The HOU Ladies Classic – GIII
HOU Race 7 1 1/16M – Dirt
Purse $300.000
Four Year Olds and Up Fillies and Mares
1st Too Much Wisdom, trained by Mb Stables
This years winner of the Houston Ladies Classic ran a huge race to get the win and she beat some of the best fillies and mares in the game. She ran a very good race and won very nicely by a length. She was about midpack early on in the race and closed very nicely. She ran the distance in 1:41.75 and earned $180.000 for the win.
2nd Misty Firefox, trained by Crocker Ggs
This filly also ran a very good race after setting all the fractions and trying to take this field wire to wire. It is very difficult to win races on the lead on any level but especially on the graded stakes level for sure so the fact that she hang on for second in here in very impressive to me. She ran a big race.
3rd Nice Tactical Speed, trained by Maxmillion Farm
She also ran a very good race for sure and only ended up getting beat by two lengths in the end. She stalked the early pace and actually pretty much just stayed in the same position the whole way staying about one or lengths from the lead at any point. She did not run bad at all.
4th Queenwood, trained by Smokey Stover
Also running in the same position all the way around there. In every running line she was fourth by two lengths so that is kind of interesting for sure. She didn’t run a bad race at all and at least she got a piece of the purse even if it wasn’t much. She didn’t run a bad race either.
Summary
A nice race right here for sure and the winner ran an exceptional race to win it. She is starting to turn into a very legitimate runner now and could be becoming one of the top runner in the older filly and mare division. She is improving with every race it seems. Congratulations to Too Much Wisdom and Mb Stables.
