The Valley View-GIII
KEE Race 1 1 1/16M- Turf
Purse $150.000
Three Year Olds Fillies
A group of seven three year old fillies will be contesting the grade three Valley View here on Keenelands turf course and they will be trying to decide who this years winners is. There is some pretty decent fillies in here and I definitely think that this is going to be a pretty good race.
1. Infrastructure (10-4-1-1 $251.080), trained by Our Athletes
Well this filly right here is a graded stakes winner and she actually won a graded stakes race here at Keeneland in the spring. Since then though she hasn’t ran very good and especially in her last start where she ran tenth. She will have to return to her form that she was in during the spring.
2. By Far Ideal (7-3-0-3 $118.200), trained by Maxmillion Farm
Now this filly here has only ran in stakes race one time and that was a seventh place finish. She is a pretty solid allowance horse though and she can win some of those higher level allowance races when she wants to. She will have to run the race of her life though to even hit the board in this spot.
3. Sweet Gail (13-5-2-1 $323.600), trained by Sccj Stables
Another graded stakes winnee in this field right here but in her last two starts she hasn’t ran very well. She ran sixth in her last two starts but the race before then she did win a grade three at Monmouth. I think she can win if she runs her best race like she did at Monmouth but that’s what it’s going to take.
4. Sandset (14-2-2-3 $406.200), trained by Team 7 Illusions
Once again another graded stakes winner in the field and she is a pretty nice filly for sure. She has been knocking on the door recently and she is also coming into this race off of a fourth in the grade one First Lady but that was just thirteen days ago. She will have to be much the best off of this short rest to win.
5. Blue Jeans (13-2-2-2 $326.800), trained by First Class Stable
Another grade stakes winner in the field but she is a graded stakes winner on the dirt and this is going to be her first ever start on turf. She is definitely a wild card in this race being how she has never raced on the turf and nobody really knows he she is going to run. Maybe she can win and maybe she cant.
6. Moon Car (11-3-2-2 $164.520), trained by Crocker Ggs
Now here is one who I think is going to be pretty tough because she has been running pretty good and especially in her last two starts where she won a grade three and ran second in a grade two against older fillies and made by a neck. She is definitely going to have a say in this race.
7. Rain Down (11-2-5-0 $165.700), trained by John Henry
Now this filly has been running good in her career but when she got switched to the turf three back she really blossomed. She just ran fourth in the grade one Rodeo Drive last out and she ran very good that day for sure. I think if she runs like that she is the winner and she is going to be my top pick.
Summary
I think this is a pretty good race for sure and there are some very nice fillies in this field. I think there is definitely a couple of them with a big shot in here and it should be a tight finish I think. My top pick is going to be the outside horse Rain Down because she looks the best to me. Good luck to all in the race.
