RACE 7 SAR 8/29/2015  Post Time 3:00PM
    The Kings Bishop (GI)
$500.000   3yo   7f     Dirt
Full fields make for good pay-offs and we saw it in this one…  Trench Admiral went off at nearly 11/1 odds and took the win in a final time of 1:21.39 for the seven panels, and brought home the lion’s share of a nice purse in Saturday’s The Kings Bishop (GI) at SAR.  Longshot Just A Chance was a length back in second and You Big Freak overcame the outside post to get a minor share, a neck back in third.

Twelve went to the post and were away with You Big Freak showing speed from the far outside, Trench Admiral in the middle of the track Magic Time along side that one, Baffle, Just A Chance and Tequila Ruler from the inside, Orange Skeleton back towards the far outside, Brutal just off of that one, then Fast Is Still Fast, Mojoboa, Sqawither and Battle Chant was off a step slowly.

Flying down the backside, four and a half furlongs to run, You Big Freak cleared the field and crossed over to the rail, Magic time a neck off and applying pressure.  A length and a half back to Trench Admiral three wide, Baffle and Tequila Ruler inside of that one, a length back to Orange Skeleton caught wide, Just A Chance from the rail, Brutal next to that one.  Another two lengths and Fast Is Still Fast was just on the outside of Sqawither, another length to Mojoboa  and Battle Champ was still the trailer, nine lengths covered them.

Swing around the turn to the top of the lane, this was getting interesting real quick like… You Big Freak hugging the rail and in front by a neck as Trench Admiral swung around and was now knocking on the door. Magic Time a length behind that one Tequila Ruler to the inside, Baffle to the outside, a length and a half to Brutal, Orange Skeleton next to that one five wide, back to the rail and Just A Chance trying to be shaken up, Fast Is Still Fast five wide and feeling the sting of the whip, Sqawilther between those two, Mojoboa and Battle Chant had a lot of work to do.

Inside the furlong marker and Trench Admiral down the center of the track and now in front by a length and a half.  You Big Freak trying to fight back from the rail, Tequila Ruler leading a pack of horses that were pushing forward as the race to the wire was on.

Down to the final 150-yards and to the wire, Trench Admiral was just better than the rest on this day and went under the wire clear by a long length.  Just A Chance closed well to get the second spot, just in front of You Big Freak, just nosing out a fast closing Mojoboa for third.  Tequila Ruler was a neck back in fifth, Sqawilther in sixth, Fast Is Still Fast tiring late to be seventh, Brutal in eighth, Baffle, Orange Skeleton tenth, Battle Chant was eleventh and Magic Time tired in the late stages to be last in the field of twelve.
