It was a rainy afternoon in northern Philly and the Power By Far Stakes was a tight finishes, but when the dust, well, muddy sod divots settled, Gdp Inc got the win as Trippi Sprinkle took this one by a nose, getting the five furlongs in 59.79.  The turf course was listed as soft.  Notorious Crown ran a big race and had a head in front late, but couldn’t hold off the winner while clearly second best, three lengths in front of 41/1 long-shot Power Silver in third.  It was another length to Princess Of Lord in fourth. 

Trippi Sprinkle is a 5yo black mare by Sweep The Ledge – Bien Express, by B N Panther, and she was bred in PA by her owner, Gdp Inc.  This was her fourteenth win from twenty five starts, fourth win of the season, and she now has lifetime earnings of $903.480.  Congrats to the Connections!

Trippi Sprinkle tracked the pace, took over mid-way on the turn, battled foe through the lane, headed late, battled back and prevailed.  Notorious Crown tracked the early pace, battled through the lane, short lead, succumbed to foe.  Power Silver rated, late effort while no threat to the top pair.  Princess Of Lord no speed, passed tiring rivals.  Jessica Alba saved ground, no factor.  Always Grey sent from the gate, set the pace to mid-way on the far turn, folded.
