This colt only broke his maiden in January but since then has been on an upward trend on their improvement curve culminating today in a very impressive performance. Stalking the early pace he was far too strong in the end coming home a comfortable two lengths clear in a lightening time. I think this colt has a very bright future ahead of him especially when you consider this was only his eighth race and fifth win.

2nd X Marque Lendroit Asgar Lopez P

He has come a long way since winning a five dollar claimer at SUD but that has a lot to do with the capable hands of his trainer who has steered this gelding where he needed to go. He had his chance after a good run in transit but was well beaten by the winner in the end although this effort certainly shows just how much he has come on.

3rd Acapulco Cyclone Lanfranco Stable Saez L

Sent to the front which has been prevalent this weekend with many going to lead and doing well. I thought he would weaken right out of it when he was collared but kept on pretty well for third a result that exceeded expectations. Its a shame when you consider he won 66% less than he did for his maiden win in this brave black type third but the effort will help him move forward.

4th Puissance de La Mer Big Guns Stables Jimenez A

Another disappointment for the colt who went back and stayed back as the front three dominated this race as so many races are. I feel there is something amiss with him because he is certainly better than this and maybe he needs a spell in the paddock and some experimenting before coming back and trying to recapture his early season form.
