1 Radio Ruffian TwinTowersRacing Geroux F 122 —

She was a good two-year-old just going down in the Pocahontas and running fourth in the Demoiselle and looked set for a good year when winning her first race as a three-year-old in The Silverbulletday Stakes. Things didn’t kick on from there though and whilst she has run in good company, she hasn’t been able to make the first four since. The trainer switched her to turf for her last start but she ran poorly at allowance level, but they are giving it another try today. She is a good sort and at her best could win but it has been a while now and it is hard to find a reason she will come back to form in this race.

2 Saarlight D J C Racing Stables Franco M 122 —

Lightly raced and fairly consistent she gets a chance here in a race that has come up a little short. Just the one win in a LAD maiden she did run well enough in the Melody Of Colors to give her a chance from a decent draw.

3 Barbara Big Jd Racing Velazquez J R 122 —

She has run some cracking races, most notably when third in the SUN Oaks, so I do like her chances here. She went to the turf last time for the first time and won the Winter Memories over this trip and whilst I am not sure she favors either surface she was good enough in that race to give her a major chance in this one.

4 Secret Of A Lady Mb Stables Gutierrez Mario 122 —

Claimed from Fractious and then bought from Night Rider at auction she may have been around a bit in the last few months, but she has settled in the type of stable that can get her running consistently. She battled gamely from the front to win an ALB Allowance last time on the dirt but has thrown some very useful turf work times suggesting that she may improve for the surface. Some of the others may have better form on the board but I know Mb doesn’t buy horses for nothing and I reckon she could be building towards a good run of wins.

5 Sychotic D J C Racing Stables Hernandez R M 122 —

Bought at auction for just $22.000 she has never run a bad race and gets a chance to put her consistent form at lower levels to the test here. A winner over this trip last time out she will be finishing strongly and must have a chance to get her entry money back at least.

6 Dont Mind A Dime Asgar Lopez P 122 —

Gets a tough draw but is good enough to overcome it based on what she has done on the track so far. She won the ONT Colleen over this trip but then went to the DG Oaks last time over further but weakened badly after the mile to end up tenth. Back to the mile today I see her as a big chance and with the wide gate speed push the likely leader.

SUMMARY

On form it should be between Dont Mind A Dime and Barbara and it may well end up that way, but I think Secret Of A lady may be better than what she has done so far and could well beat them both.
