The Wonder Again – Grade II
1 1/8m InTurf Graded Stake
Purse $200.000 For Fillies Three Years Old.
1 Be Exceptional TwinTowersRacing Castellano J J 122 —
A well tested filly who has run some great races and switches to turf today seeking a change of luck. Second in the Starlet at Grade one and a close sixth in the GP Oaks you have to respect her class rating here despite the change in surface,
2 Corsica Glorify Stables Franco M 122 —
Lightly raced she was very well beaten in two starts as a two-year-old but has clearly found something at three. A brave maiden winner she then ran a nice second in allowance company last time and whilst she has something to prove at this level certainly looks up to it.
3 Bee Cyclone Maxmillion Farm Carmouche K 122 —
This filly made all to win her maiden over a mile at two, so it has been a bit surprising to see her in sprints ever since. She won a five-furlong allowance last time but is working like a router which is the sort of contradiction we have got used to at HRP and with a sub-1.35 mile work to her name, I suspect we will see the turf king in contention here.
4 Align Mb Stables Lezcano J 122 —
You would expect a filly from this stable to be working slick times and she has been consistent rather than exceptional so far in her career. A fair effort in the Providencia Stakes last time I suspect the trainer may be hoping for a more prominent role in this race.
5 Hollywood Twister Spankys Barn Davis D 122 —
Unbeaten in the wet, and I am pretty sure the trainer will be doing a rain dance before post time for this. She showed she can run in the dry when a decent fifth in the Sweet Life and her works are strong enough to suggest she can run a race whatever the weather.
6 Raw And Real Mb Stables Velazquez J R 122 —
You would have to say this would be the first choice on paper having won at grade three this year and being placed at a grade higher in the Edgewood last time. She has all the form the only question with her may be the trip.
SUMMARY
An even field you have to like Raw And Real for this on exposed form but I rather like a couple of others that may offer better value. I think Bee Cyclone has been crying out for this trip and may be a lot better than what she has achieved so far, and I will maybe take the odds on offer for her rather than what should be cramped odds on either of the Mb runners.
