The four year old gelding hasn’t managed a win this year but has been competitive and looks the type to be suited by this seven furlongs.

2 Unsuited Command Spankys Barn Garcia Mar

A closer which wont be easy from this draw but his recent works are very strong and if he doesn’t get too far back he should be very strong at the end. Good enough in the Liberty Bell last time she wont be able to get so far back today if she wants to win.

3 Fleeting Tiger Asgar Beschizza A

Gets a penalty for a little stakes race win back in May but he has been running well in better grade than most of these and at least gets a draw to help negate that two pounds. He could overcome the penalty.

4 Sushi Yama Gdp Inc Corrales G

Looked good when claimed but was upped in grade and has struggled a bit. The works are good enough and his run at SAR the time before last was good enough to give him a chance here.

5 Chemical Burn Mojica Racing Velazquez J R

Improved since being claimed for no apparent reason but his works have been strong and his win last time at AQU very impressive. The seven furlongs should suit and he could well be my top choice.

6 Zealous Thunder Big Jd Racing Saez L

A nice enough sort in overnights but he has yet to win this year and may find this too tough.

7 Fifty Cent Night Rider Stables Gaffalione T

The Claiming Kings brings this one here off the back of a strong fourth in the SA Sprint Championship last time. previously he had won over 6 in a sub 1.09 time and his speed figures certainly lean towards a horse that has found some upward motion in his improvement curve.

8 Chanceux Casino Invicta Group Llc Murrill M

A lightly raced sort he certainly isn’t out of place in this field and i liked the way he dug deep to score in an FL Allowance last time. The draw is tough over this trip but he has time to find a spot and should run well.

9 Doctor Dawning Mo Mentum Farm Geroux F

Bought from the free track where he won a turf mile in a sub 1.33 time this is an interesting switch for a horse that has been running twelve furlongs on the turf. Only the trainer will know what to expect here but he add interest to an already interesting race.

10 Profound Perfection Onlineracingclub.com Hernandez C J

A double whammy for this one as they carry a weight and a draw penalty. His win in the Jump Start Stakes last time was pretty good and his works are sharp so whilst he looks harshly treated he certainly has the ability to overcome that.

SUMMARY

Tough to call as all these races are i think Chemical Burn looks good here. Profound Perfection will need luck but should run well and the Claiming King has a good chance with Fifty Cent.
