Won his maiden and one win allowance before taking on black type and whilst he has done pretty well he is taking his time to live up to his work times. An improved effort last time and an improvement in work times suggests that the trainer has found a little extra in his code and he could be ready to break through today.

I always like to see an unbeaten horse in these types of races and this one has been impressive enough to believe he could stay unbeaten after this race. Whilst his wins have been at the lower end he has done it pretty impressively and hos works are good enough to be considered especially from this favorable draw.

4 Ten Furlongs Aer Stables Alvarado R Jr

Took a couple to get going but when he was gelded he certainly started to concentrate better and has gone two from two since the operation. Like Safe Investment his wins have been at the lower level but his works say he is ready to step up and this stable certainly knows how to help them do that.

5 Fascinating D J C Racing Stables Morales P

On the face of it this one race winner has been tested at the top level and probably has some of the best stakes form for a race like this. In reality his works times say he is just the same as most of the other runners he has just run in better class races. Strangely he has run better with wider draws coming from a long way back rather than being drawn nicely and staying closer so today’s draw may be a perfect compromise. The trainer is in good form and that may be the best pointer to his chances.

6 Ice Wine Dawson Farms Feliciano R

Scrambled home from a wide draw in his maiden and does look a bit tested here. Pre race works say he may be better than he looks so treat with some caution.

7 Sweetly Chai Greyfriars Stable Alencar W

Still a maiden and looks a speculative entry here. The draw may see him as pacemaker and who knows if he gets away with soft fractions he may just be there at the end.

8 All Out Bark La Canada Racehorses Diaz H R Jr

A maiden claimer winner last time whose work on the 10th November was the same as everything else so it is pretty hard to say he wont be good enough in this. He won that claimer in good style though and a forward show wouldn’t be a complete surprise.

9 Last Way To The Beac Lemax Farms Castanon J L

Not may horses win by seven lengths but that’s what this one did when he crucified a 5 horse field at PRX last time. It is hard to weigh up his chances but i have a feeling he may be better than his form suggests.

10 Three Wishes Crocker Ggs Camacho Sa

Consistent enough but gets the car park draw to deal with. A closer in all his races i would suspect that the race engine will choose that for him from this wide draw and if the pace is fast enough there may just be a way for him to run in the first three.

This looks between the first four in the draw today with Mb Stables horses probably favored.
