A big day of stakes action here at FG and we look at the field for the LA Stakes (GIII), a mile and a sixteen main-track event for the older handicap gents and it’s an interesting group in my opinion.  I’ll head down to the rail and give State General from the Mb Stables barn the top billing today.  He won four races in ’24 and was never off the board in seven starts… you get the picture, he’s consistent and this barn is always on top of things.  Let’s put All Take in the middle of this one… he’s an all or nothing type, it seems, but look solid when fourth as the post-time favorite in the Clark (GII) at CD, only beaten three-quarters of a length.  He won the ALB Hcp prior to that CD race, so he looks solid right now.  I’ll give Power Grid a big look here as well, that one fresh off of a closing effort at WO when third in the ON Derby (GIII).  He’s changed hands since that effort, but if he runs back to that Dwyer (GIII) effort, he could be a force in his 4yo campaign.
