Will the Bride Be Baking Donuts at GP?

The Herecomesthebride Stakes – Grade III
GP   Race #10   1 1/16m   Turf   Graded Stake
Purse $150.000  For Fillies Three Years Old.

1 Viking Amy, trained by Delta Farms
Won two from four as a two year old in nice style and went into the age break as a
prmoising prospect. She confirmed that opinion in her seasonal debut when just failing
by a head in The Sweetest Chant over a mile. That was a good run consdering the wide
speed push put her in the lead and painted a target on her bum and she very nearly held
on for a game win. She is fit and improving and has a much better draw today, expect a
big run.

2 Taking liberties, trained by Gdp Inc
In contrast to Viking Amy after two wins from two as a two year old she used teh wide draw
in The Sweetest Chant to do the other thing the wide gate does and that to sit way behind
the pace. Flying late she was ony a whisker behind the winner in fourth and i expect another
close finish between her and Viking Amy today. As ever it wont be which one is best it will be
which one the draw works for.

3 Tennessee Titan, trained by D J C Racing Stables
Another two time winner as a two year old she made it three wins on her seasonal debut when
just getting home at FG. She showed she has some class when finishing fifth in The Miss Grillo
and some strong recent works suggest she is ready for a big run today.

4 Dragonville, trained by Drabfantasy
Still a aiden but all her three runs have been in black type company and she has yet to run a
bad race. Her two runs this year have been full of merit a third in the grade three Dania Beach
and then a late finishing sixth in the Sweetest Chant only beaten a length last time out.
I liked her for that last race but she had to come from a long way back and did well in the end
i will give her this one last chance today.

5 Shekinah, trained by Blushing Meadows
Twice a winner as a two year old she reappeared for a strong fourth in the CAC Oaks. Suer to be in
this race for a long way with normal improvement from that seasonal debut she will be right in it.

6 Smart Babe, trained by Axeman
Another with two juvenile wins she has had a couple of go’s at black type and ran creditably both
times. Her works are on the money and she has a sneaky of outside chance.

7 Cartoon Figure, trained by Barcelona Farms
Won a couple of black types on the way to a fair run in the BC Juvenile fillies turf and showed her
well being with a strong second in The Ginger Brew on seasonal debut. Whilst her form has been good
I just feel there may be less scope in her than some of the others although she deserves respect when
weighing up winning options.

8 Bake The Donut, trained by Night Rider Stables
Beat Cartoon Figure in the Ginger Brew and then went onto a narrow victory in The Sweetest Chant. Thats
a strong form line for this race and theres no reason she cant be right in this again. My only worry is
her wide draw but if she can overcome that she must rate a favourites chance.

SUMMARY

The obvious choice here in Bake The Donut but the draw and the penalty will make it tough for her. I am
fully expecting another blanket finish so draw and trip will be the difference between winning and losing.
Who will win todays lottery? Well I rather like Taking liberties and I will give the maiden Dragonville one
more chance.
