She hasnt been really tested since a very nice closing third in the Tempted as a two year old. The future looked pretty good for her back then but she hasnt really gone on from that at least until her last start in a one win allowance at TUP. That win was very impressive but clearly wasnt in this grade although with the state of the class system at HRP that shouldnt really matter too much. So we know she has the ability to do well here, her works are good enough and she is drawn well so whilst she is no dead cert she has a decent each way chance.

2 Tornado Warning Mb Stables Ortiz I Jr

Took a while to break her maiden but has been pretty impressive since winning her last start in her first attempt at turf. She won a fast run allowance at WO in that run and certainly looks a better filly on the grass. She has to prove she can run at this level but everything points towards the fact that she will and she will be aided by a perfect draw today.

3 Sneaky Opus Drabfantasy Leparoux J R

The trainer loves to win races like this with maidens and this filly looks a well above average maiden as she showed when closing well on debut in the Melody Of Colors. That was a great effort and a 1.34 and 4 work suggests she fits into this race despite still be a non winner. Its a big ask but she may be pretty special so you have to give her a major chance.

4 Edna Everage John Henry Albarado R J

A fairly consistent sort she has run well in this sort of company before so there are fewer questions than with other runners. She was a good third in the Providencia Stakes last time out leading at the mile and just getting out stayed so whilst she has ability i do worry about her ability to see out this trip at this level.

5 Speeding Slayer Jader Stable Lanerie C J

Had Sneaky Opus a length behind when winning the Melody Of Colors but as that horse was on debut you would think she would be hard pressed to confirm that form. She failed in the wet last time but had run like this trip would suit in her previous efforts and is working very well indeed. definitely one for the top three.

6 Good Bye Hill Simmer Down Stable Geroux F

Consistent at over night level she struggled a little when upped in grade last time and has something to prove at this sort of race. Working well enough to be in the field but i can’t find a spot for her in the top three.

7 Lady Like D J C Racing Stables Pennington F

Gets the KYD winning jockey and comes from an in form yard but the wide draw may be too much for her with just ordinary form to back it up. Another that is working well enough but these days every horse seems to be working well enough so that on its own may not be enough.

SUMMARY

If the maiden can stay the trip then she could well break through today and become a real turf star. If inexperience is her enemy then Speeding Slayer and Tornado warning could take advantage with Moon Car right in the mix too.
