Ran a great race to be second in the Apple Blossom before a decent fourth in the La Troinne, she was a little disappointing last time in the Fleur De Lis but it may have been the wet conditions that found her out that day so an improved effort could be expected on a dry track. Races from a great draw to sit just behind the speed and at her best she is a strong chance.

Better than her poor effort in the Chicago last time, she is probably better judged on her good effort in two Bayakoa races. She needs to step up for sure although one imagines she will be the pace influence in the race.

3 Judicial Watch TwinTowersRacing Hernandez R M 124

Probably the better of the two stable runners which is also likely to go on-pace, we could see the two of them go at it and try and make a big wall to get round. Like her stable mate there are glimmers of ability, but it is tough to see her bothering the top two.

4 My Pretty Threshold Curtis B 124

A fast mare, she has been sprinting for a while now, so it is interesting to see her step out over a longer trip. Best when in front, I would imagine she will be part of the speed battle and if she comes out on top has the ability to make a race of it.

5 Gutter Black Mo Mentum Farm Espinoza V 124

Looked better on speed when winning the Santa Margarita than she did as a closer in the Pitcher Stakes, but I think a lot of that came down to race pace as it usually does so that could be key to her chances here. If she is ridden up to just behind the leaders, then she has every chance of continuing a very good season so far.

6 Present Tense Mb Stables Ortiz J L 124

Well, at her best there is no doubt this mare would be odds on. The winner of 13 races she has been OK this year and ran very well to be third in the Fleur De Lis last time, but it has been a while since she has looked her old self. Her works are still very fast so that tells us she is not sliding down the improvement curve so just maybe today is the day we can see the best Present Tense again.

SUMMARY
Not the strongest grade one and in the past, we would have said that Present Tense had this at her mercy. The likely fast pace will play perfectly into her hands, and I see her running over them late. Jawaher looks a good exacta bet.
