So, we head to AQU and a perfect example of how it should work…  do TTR and I have much in common?  not at all… but when a member of the HRP community puts as much time, effort and even funds to make a great moment on a day where we all give a moment to salute our first responders, to give the respect to those that gave it all on a day that we would all like to forget… to run into a building or area that anyone else would run away from.  Words cannot explain where we all stand for not only that day, but what they give to us all, day in and day out.  We all take a moment to give them thanks, to miss those that were lost on that day and appreciate all that continue to protect us…   my word salad is just that, so let’s move on to the race, but a special thanks to TTR for sponsoring this event, for so many years. 

We look at a group of freshmen set to go a mile and a sixteenth in the WTC Mem, a mile and a sixteenth Alw race for horses that have taken care of the maiden requirement and are looking to get the second win under their belt.  I’m going off script today and will take Fast N Fun as my top choice… his HRP jock of choice lost his farther this week… and Sly was an absolute great guy.  On a day where we pay tribute, let’s take it one step further in the COZMAN selections.

I’ll put Kid Puka in the second spot of his runner-up finish in the Skidmore at SAR, last out.  He broke maiden by daylight, in his first trip to the starting gate, and I think he’s going to be a nice horse.

I’ll put Banned in the third spot… he broke maiden nicely in his second start for the big barn, and we know that the horse will be in tip-top form today.
