1st Zombie City, trained by pan Farms
Before the race an outside draw looked like a bad thing but as the track bias favoured on pace runners all of a sudden the outside speed push became an advantage. The Jerome winner looked in control throughout tracking wide but eventually getting to the lead well before halfway and always holding off the challengers who never really got in a blow. With two qualifiers under his belt he now becomes a serious challenger for the KYD and his trainer will have the luxury of picking his way to the KYD with no real pressure.

2nd People Doubted, trained by Mb Stables
This horse tends to race on the pace but for some reason today he was taken back in the field on a day when closers werent having much success. Flying through he did very well to be second and will be strongly fancied to take one of the remaining qualifiers.

3rd Subutai, trained by EasyMoney Stables
Another that flew from even further back i think this may have been the best run in the race bar the winner and will be adding him to my black book. Third in the Lecompt and now the Risen Star he just needs a bit of luck to break through.

4th Drift, trained by D J C Racing Stables
A pretty good seasonal debut for fourth he will come on for this run and shouldnt be overlooked as an outside Derby chance.
