Waiting On My Moment Takes The Empire Classic by Head

$175.000     3yo&Up Foaled In NY       1 1/8m  Dirt     3yo 121lbs  Older 124lbs

The Empire Classic was the co-main-event on a day of NY-bred brilliance, and chalk got to the winner’s circle as Luz International’s Waiting On My Moment sat behind the pace until the stretch run and then got home by a head in a final time of 1:48 flat for the minle and an eighth main track stakes.  Kings Dominion closed well to give the winner all he wanted, but had to settle for the runner-up spot, a half length in front of mega-long-shot Parti People in third.

Waiting On My Moment is a 4yo gray gelded son of Cool Guy Twist – Knockout Punch, by El Gran Gayley, and he was bred in NY by his owner, Luz International.  This was his fourth lifetime win and his first win of the 2020 season.
