Tin Lizzie broke out of the gate to be seventh in the early going (which was last) spotting the field about 9 lengths.  As the field went through the first 6 furlongs out of 9 she was still 7th by 9 lengths.  As the field started to get ready to turn for home she started to rally to get up to second by the mile, and ultimately winning by 3 lengths.  He would finish the distance in 1:50.12 for owner Stald Gullis.  He claimed the lion’s share of the purse of $240.000.  He is 2 for 2 in the money on the off going.

Skipping Stone broke out of the gate and was sent right to the lead.  He opened the half mile in :48 1/5.  From there he took the field to the 3/4 mile in 1:12 3/5.  From there he still had the lead and looked good to the mile in 1:37 3/5.  In the final furlong he tired to finish second collection $96.000 for the run and for owner Night Rider Stables.

Sir Tom got away to be fifth about eight lengths from the front.  He sat way off the pace throughout the race.  He made a big move in the final furlong to get him up to be third for owner Brave and collecting $48.000 for his run.

Hollywood Freak sat off the pace, and made a late effort to get up fourth for owner Mb Stables.

Breiterate started out to be third, and stalked the pace nicely throughout the opening few furlongs.  After 6 furlongs he started to fade to be fourth at the mile, and would eventually finish fifth for owner Sanny Village.

Jamfest the big favorite at 1.70 to 1 got out to be fourth.  He trailed in the stretch to finish sixth for owner Jkk Racing Stables.

Bold Pretender started out to be second throughout the 6 furlongs.  Then after that he started to trail to finish seventh for owner RNP Stables.

Reporter Iwin reached out to owner Stald Gullis about his big 132 to 1 long shot winner:

Iwin: Did you think your horse could win this race and why?

Stald Gullis:  No i didn’t think he could win. When i saw the startlist i remember there is really good horses in here. but with the handicap he had i hope for a top 4.

Iwin: When you saw the odds of 132+ did you think the bettors missed something?

Stald Gullis: No the starlist was very tough. But i know Thin Lizzy have some followers in here and i hope some of them made a little bet. But i can understand if player’s didn’t bet on him

Iwin: With this being your first Grade I win this year, how does this make you feel?

Stald Gullis: Well i have only been in this game for 1½-2years and i had to learn that this is a tough competition butt when i u see and is a part of a win like this you just want to work more and harder to get one more.

Iwin: Where do you see Tin Lizzie next race?

Stald GullisWell i want to take part of the handicap advantage so i think AP St Leger Stakes – Grade III 8/15/2015 is the right for him.

Iwin: Anything else you like to add.

Stald Gullis: It’s a fun history the last 2 month for this horse. after his win in April I got a part inquires whether I would sell him or if I thought he could run longer races. That made me try him in some longer races and he did pretty well. So when i saw i could get a really good handicap i thought why not.
