Four Year Olds and Up Fillies and Mares
1st First Impression, trained by Mb Stables
A huge win for this filly here as she improved off her last race and took this race. She had been running huge races but had trouble getting there but in here she pulled away late to win by half a length. She ran the seven furlongs in 1:21.94 and earned $120.000 for the win.
2nd Eye Test, trained by Axeman
The cutback in distance was no problem for her at all as she ran very well to end up running second in this spot. She made a very strong run form last in here to fly home for second and only bet beat a half length. She ran very well to run second.
3rd Tommy Frazier, trained by John Henry
Unfortunate trip for this usual late running filly as she was sent hard from that outside post to the lead which she usually is never at. She set the fractions and was pretty clear of the field for most of the way. She just got tired the last eighth but still held on for a nice third.
4th Stamford Bridge, trained by Dynark Stables
Not a bad run from this old gal either and she tried hard all the way and was only beaten a length when it was all said and done. She ran a very good race to get fourth but she seems to be just a hair outclassed with runners. She is still running good races every time though.
Summary
A big time win for First Impression and I really believe she could be a key player in this years Filly and Mare Sprint division. She seems to be getting better with age and I could see her winning a lot more stakes this year. Congratulations to First Impression and Mb Stables.
