Gutsy Win for Market Value in The Razorback Handicap

The Razorback Handicap – GIII
2/17/20
OP Race 2 1 1/16M – Dirt
Purse $500.000
Four Year Olds and Up

1st Market Value, trained by Nakamura Stables

Finally a big time win for this runner as he had been running way to well in all the big races he had been in to not score a win in one. He was very game and fought hard all the way to the line to get up by a nose. He ran the distance in 1:41.18 and earned $300.000 for the win.

2nd First Down Dash, trained by John Henry

Now this runner ran way to good of a race to lose as he had to do most of the grunt work up near the pace. He was in front when they turned for him and he fought on strongly and looked like he could hold them all off. He ran a giant race and it was a tough beat for him.

3rd Marx On The Moon, trained by Court Jester Racing

A hard run from this runner also as he fought on strongly also to only get beat by a neck for the whole thing. He fought on gamely the whole length of the stretch and ran a very strong race. A very strong run from this horse and he ran too good of a race to lose also.

4th Downwind Revenge, trained by Royalty Racing

Final runner to hit the board here and he was also only beaten by a neck for the win. He was far back in the field early and made a big run late but just could not get there in time. Also a very good run from this horse and the more distance he gets the better.

Summary

Such a competitive race here and only a neck separated the top four runners. The winner Market Value made a bug statement that he has arrived on the scene for the older horses this year. Congratulations to Market Value and Nakamura Stables on the win.
