We saw a few two year old races this weekend where experience was key to success. Experience at HRP just means more races and therefore a better chance of finding that improvement curve quicker and that is certainly the case with this one. Just three months ago this one was being beaten in a $12 Maiden claimer and today she beat a good field in a stakes race that has qualified her for the Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies Sprint. All her improvement has come simply from switching from dirt to turf and her trainer must take the congratulations for making the move and getting their first ever BC runner.
2nd Gabilondo Fractious Cedillo A
There was a frantic early pace down the hill for this one and this filly just got taken off her feet a bit early on. She came on strong at the end but was always being held by the winner who had managed to keep up with the lightening speed. She looks ready for a little bit further now but if she makes the BC i wouldn’t be ruling out her chances.
3rd Mr Orange Arindel Davis D
The stable had a great weekend and this filly ran above herself to end up in third after going fast early to try and chase the pace. This was a nice effort and like the winner she has benefited from a long campaign to date.

This was a good effort for a horse with just the one run under his belt and with normal improvement i can see him good enough to win some decent races in the future.
