The forum trash talk seemed to fall on deaf ears as Team 7 Illusions’ On The Flop, sent off at 10/1 odds, moved up quickly when asked and went under the wire in front by a half length to take a big Monday purse in The PID Masters Stakes (GII), getting the six and a half furlongs in a quick 1:15.47.  Hawaiian Crusader ran second as an 18/1 outsider a quarter length in front of Z Command in third.  It was an absolute Calvary charge from the furlong pole to the wire… a must watch race!

The nine speedster spinsters got away from the gate with Z Command showing good early speed, down to the inside for Out And Bad, First Impression along the rail and Hawaiian Crusader between that pair, Threat Unknown just out from that trio, On The Flop and You Just Have 2 Wait were next, Stamford Bridge and Sweet Catomine wide and trailing.

Moving down the backside with a half mile to run, Z Command was trying to cross over to the rail but Out And Bad was showing her own speed and secured that inside position, then a gap of two back to Hawaiian Crusader, First Impression on her inside, another length to Threat Unknown three wide, another length to the trio of On The Flop towards the rail, Stamford Bridge three wide and You Just Have 2 Wait between that pair, then a gap of two back to the trailer, Sweet Catomine.

Now moving around the far turn and nearing the top of the lane with two furlongs to run, Z Command still in front but her lead was just a head as Out And Bad was giving her all she wanted on the front end.  Two lengths back to First Impression and Hawaiian Crusader, coming off of the rail for the drive home, Another length to Threat Unknown four wide, Back to the rail for On The Flop, Stamford Bridge widest of all, You Just Have 2 Wait to her inside and Sweet Catomine could still see them all, six lengths covered the field.

Down the lane and now nearing the final sixteenth of a mile, this was looking like a shoot-out to the finish…  Z Command and Out And Bad were noses apart, Hawaiian Crusader now inching forward with every stride, On The Flop down the rail and in contention, First Impression and Threat Unknown right there, You Just Have 2 Wait and Stamford Bridge in behind but still close enough to score and Sweet Catomine was last but only two and a half lengths covered them.

Deep stretch and to the finish…  Z Command, Out And Bad, Hawaiian Crusader and On The Flop, Threat Unknown from the outside, First Impression not going away… and as they hit the wire, On The Flop stayed to the task up the rail and nailed them all on the wire.  Hawaiian Crusader grab the second spot by a long neck over Z Command, Thread Unknown a head back in fourth, nosing out You Just Have 2 Wait in fifth.  Another head back to First Impression in sixth, a nose to Out And Bad in seventh, Sweet Catomine eight and Stamford Bridge closed this one out… only two lengths from first to worst.

On The Flop is a bay 4yo filly by Gsin – Back Door Flush by Cherokee Sunset, and she was bred in NY by her owner, Team 7 Illusions.  This was her seventh win from twenty-one starts, her third win this season, and she now has $643.100 in lifetime earnings, and she looks to be in great form as we head towards the big races at KEE.
